Product Description

Individual ingenuity has combined masculine touches with feminine appeal. The Dr. Martens Becca Engineer Boot takes a lead from evolutionary manufacturing by sanding the Pillow leather upper of this striking riding boot to create a worn-out look with an exaggerated toe-spring. The air-cushioned sole provides underfoot comfort while cemented constructions lends long lasting durability. Saddle up and show off your unique style in the Dr. Martens Becca Engineer Boot!

From the Manufacturer
Dr. Martens is the stuff of legends. It all began near Munich, Germany in 1945 when Dr. Klaus Maertens injured his foot in a skiing accident in the Bavarian Alps. To make walking easier during the healing process, he designed a shoe with an air-cushioned sole. Using old rubber tires, he constructed soles that had air trapped within closed compartments. He showed his prototype to his engineer/inventor friend, Dr. Herbert Funck, and together they decided to develop and produce the shoes. Not only did the shoe solve the doctor's immediate problem, but it also started to sell well in Germany. By 1959 the two decided that they needed a company to produce and distribute the shoes, then called Dr. Maertens, in other parts of the world. At first, many manufacturers rejected the concept of an air cushioned sole as a short-lived gimmick. However, the R. Griggs Group, located in the village of Wollaston in England, decided to go along with the idea by creating the first work boot with the revolutionary sole. On the first of April 1960, the first cherry red eight-eyelet work boot was produced and named 1460. To sell the brand name better in England, the name was anglicized to Dr. Martens. The range was branded AirWair and the rest is history.

5LOVE THESE BOOTS!!!
By M. Hamilton
I was torn between getting these, the DM Case Engineer Boots and the Frye Engineers. I'm SOO glad I chose these. They fit perfect, and are so comfortable! I am on my feet for work all day long, and my feet which usually ache at the end of the day, feel great! These boots are easy to pull on and look sexier than most other moto styled boots. These also have a little bit more height than the others, which is always welcome for us shorter gals. I typically wear an 8.5 US, and sized down to an 8 - glad I did. Another plus is the rubber soles, which add great traction.

5comfortable and good looking
By S. Hicks
Most boots that look this great pinch or hurt after wearing for a good length of time, NOT THESE. They're wonderful! Fit great, true to size, super comfy, roomy, great looking and can be worn all day without leaving your foot sore.

5Looks Great with EVERYTHING!
By Ching
I bought these last year and they've quickly become my go-to pair. I have some Frye Harness 12R boots which I love also, but these are just super comfortable. The heel height is perfect and I love how they look with jeans, skirts, and dresses. I wear them with just about everything. The Fryes used to be my favorite pair, but now that I have these they've been de-throned. Great boots for half the price!
