My boots came a day earlier than they were scheduled and I was excited to get home and try them on. I did go for a 1/2 size larger due to my wider feet and high arch (on top of my foot) - I knew if I could just get them on once, I could break them in to fit that part of my arch. Out of the box they are absolutely gorgeous boots - LOVE how they look and the details. They are not just painted or cheaply glued on inlays and tooling - the wing-tip inlays are stitched with the top layer tooled/embossed, the under layer of the foot is a nice milk chocolate distressed leather and the shaft is the same pretty dark chocolate/black tooled/embossed floral design as the top layer of the wing tip. The colors remind me of my favorite horse in my herd - a dark bay Thoroughbred named Shadow. The shaft height of 11" is perfect - I can wear my bootcut jeans over and skinny jeans in - they would be cute with a skirt too. The top of the boot shaft/throat is not too narrow or big - my calves are normal sized so I don't think average legs would have a problem - even a bit larger legged gals should do ok with these.
At first I was really disappointed when I could not get my arched feet down around that 90 deg angle from the throat of the boot into the foot and was ready to box them back up to return - then I remembered!! They come with a removable insole with gel pads built in - I took out the insoles and YAY, the feet went in and they fit! I will wear for a bit to soften up and stretch out that throat angle and put the insoles back in. These are SOOO cute. Love these boots for dress, out n about and I'll wear for special events in the saddle. I am glad I did not go a full size up or I would have been sorry as they have just the right amount of slip in the heel now and are not too narrow or wide - it's just that tight 90 degree angle going in to be aware of if you have high arches. I ADORE these boots. Get them, you won't be sorry.

I have to say that I don't normally wear cowboy boots, listen to country music or have anything "country" about me, but I love these boots. I have been wanting to get a great pair of boots that are comfortable, stylish and would look great with jeans. I have finally found them. I normally wear a size 9.5, so I went with a size 10 boot. I am glad I did. They fit perfect and are very comfortable. I went out in these and spent hours on my feet without any problems. They are beautiful boots that go great with skinny jean (tucked in) or boot cut jeans (over the boot). I think these are going to be my "go to" boots for this winter season. I am not worried about getting them wet or slipping. These seem to be a great all purpose boot that are really stylish too! I would highly recommend these boots.

These boots are sassy, classy, and downright sexy~ I love them!! They were worth every penny. Love my Birthday Boots!!
