Don't get me wrong,
These boots are slim, slim, slim.
the feet of the boots are a bit slim, the calf circumferences are slim, Ecco even run large.
but slim is what I was exactly what I was looking for.
My calves are slim and have hard time finding boots that fits me well.(my calf is about 12.5 inches in circumference) and these fit great! Granted I had to tighten the buckles all the way but at least this fits without having the huge gap in the boots.
what's better is that the height of these boots are shorter then other knee high boots.
I'm only 5'1'' and other boots usually come up high in the back of my knee that it's often uncomfortable when i drive or sit down. These boots come about 2 inches below the lowest point of my knee, and even make me look a bit taller!
They do run a bit large, my feet are on the slim side in normal width range and wear 6.5 in other brands.
With Ecco boots, I fit 36(5-5.5 us size, according to their chart).
The feet of the boots are a bit slim but not so slim to be marked narrow.

I am 5'4 and have a really hard time finding boots that fit properly, I also have what is considered "athletic" calves. Most boots are so tight in the leg I feel like I am being strangled. These boots have STRETCH in the calf, and are SUPER COMFY! I wore them for 5 days all over Paris. We walked MILES a day, up and down stairs, cobblestones, rain- these can't be beat! I wear an 8.5/9 depending on the shoe, so I ordered the 39. Just perfect, enough room to wear warm sock, or tights. The support was great. My other shoes I brought to Paris were Danskos and Uggs, I never wore either. I am hoping Santa brings me the brown ones!

These boots were very pretty and I loved them, but they were too small in the calf. I would recommend them, but not if you have wide calves.
