First off I want to say that for me these shoes did not run big. I took the advice of another reviewer and ordered 1/2 size smaller than my regular size. This was not right for me. They were way too tight everywhere. I will be returning them.
My purpose in writing the review is to let people know my experience as well as my thoughts. The shoes seemed comfortable. I won't be able to find out from Amazon though because they're out of my true size and I do think a half size too big will not work. I will look elsewhere for them. But man the quality of the shoe is amazing. The deer skin lining inside is so soft that you probably won't even want to wear socks. The leather in the upper part of the shoe is also soft and will give when you walk. Since the shoe was too small, I can't really say if the soul is all the description claims, but it did seem comfortable. The leather on the shoe part was stiffer though so I think they'd need to be broken in. I still give them 5 stars though because I really want to wear them.
I will look for more shoes from this brand because of the softness of the leather. And for now my quest for the perfect boot continues. It's going to be summer before I find one.

I am very happy with this boots, very comfortable hugs the feet very well. I would love to try different boots from gentle soul.
